12 years of quality education for girls
A new wave of activism for girls’ education
Leave No Girl Behind is a global campaign calling for 12 years of quality education for all girls everywhere
Harnessing the power of partnership, we are working together to galvanise increased financial investment, political will and the implementation of proven interventions to ensure that every girl has an opportunity to learn, lead and succeed.
The publications produced through this campaign provide recommendations on how we as a global community can deliver on our commitments to girls’ education.
Transformative political leadership to promote 12 years of quality education for all girls
While global commitment to girls’ education is at an all-time high, there is an urgent need to identify ways in which high-level political leadership can be mobilised to generate concrete, sustainable and effective actions that deliver. This new report and policy note answers this need by reviewing global evidence on how political leadership can be leveraged to achieve 12 years of quality education for all girls.
Platform for Girls’ Education
Established in 2018, the Platform for Girls’ Education forms one dimension of the Leave No Girl Behind Campaign. It brings together 12 influential figures from across the Commonwealth, including political leaders, civil society representatives, experts and advocates with a shared commitment to girls’ education. Together, they are calling for visible political commitment from world leaders, and sufficient, sustained investment in 12 years of quality education to leave no girl behind.
It starts with educating a girl, and hopefully ends with a woman leader.
